From Le Patio to CHYL
For years, Le Patio Spa has been a hidden retreat in Barcelona's Eixample — a place where guests could escape the pace of the city and discover a little tranquillity behind an otherwise ordinary street entrance.
With its intimate treatment rooms, hammam and unexpected garden patio, the spa developed a loyal following among Barcelona residents and visitors alike.
In 2025, the spa entered a new chapter under the ownership of Shane McAvinchey and Simon Conway.
Our vision was to preserve what made Le Patio special while developing a more complete approach to wellbeing — bringing together traditional massage, bathing rituals, modern recovery and advanced skincare.
Chyl is the expression of that vision.
The name is new, but the spirit of the place remains: thoughtful treatments, genuine hospitality and time dedicated entirely to yourself.

The People Behind the Experience
Shane McAvinchey & Simon Conway
Behind Chyl are Shane McAvinchey and Simon Conway, whose vision is to create a space where traditional spa rituals and contemporary recovery can exist naturally together.
Their work with KYMA cold immersion technology has helped shape Chyl's approach to contrast therapy, bringing another dimension to the spa's established massage and hammam experiences.
